trying to

We just bought a used 20 and the bildge is full of water. There is no room for a pump unless the style is used with a seperate intake hose. If the cabin doors are fairly tight and the centerboard and cockpit drain hoses are in good shape, my thinking is that not much water should go there. We have bad cabin door and found the sink drain totaly loose from the drain fitting. We are going to make sure we install one somewhere.

bilge pump

I had to install one in my 20 as it takes on water, especially when under power. I think the tube for swing keel is cracked as I have replaced all hoses, reseatd through hulls, been all over the stern holes, and when I had the cb removed crawled all over the hull with epoxy and sealed anything that looked like a break in the hull surface. I enlarged the inspection port by the cabinet amidships and mounted the bilge pump there. I connected the drain to the sink through hull. Unfortunatley I had to disconnect the sink as I could not find the right valve to keep both hooked and the bilge water tended to shoot out the drain of the sink
