Oday 19 = Rhodes 19?

Hi,Can anyone tell me if the Oday 19 is the same design as the venerable Rhodes 19 (daysailer and Mariner)designed by Philip Rhodes? I'm currently looking at one to purchase.

The short anwer is "No"

My understanding is that there are four different 19 ft. O'days. There is the Rhodes 19, the Mariner (with the Rhodes 19 hull), the O'day 19 designed by C. Raymond Hunt Associates and the O'day 192, a refined version of the 19, also by C. Raymond Hunt.The O'day 19 and 192 look very different (more modern) than both the Rhodes 19 and the Mariner which have spoon bows and vertical transoms.There is a model index at the attached link that may help you make an informed choice.
