Ok.. another newbie question.. (and please pardon my possible lack of proper terminology)
Our jib is not furled, it is store in the cabin when not in use. When we want to use it, we need to "clip" it to the forestay and hoist... so here's my question.. do you clip it from top to bottom and then hoist.. or from bottom to top, then hoist?
We've had some wonderful breezes and love to use the jib. But, when it's 2 of us sailing, I'm manning the tiller, while my husband tends to the jib.. and sometimes the jib likes to catch the wind before it's completely attached and almost flies off the bow!
Our technique needs perfecting, no doubt! But, we appreciate the tips of you seasoned sailors! Thanks!
