I don't know if my centerboard is rigged correctly. There is a fitting in the step just aft of the hatch that the CB line passes through. This line is secured to a small cleat. It is braided line that passes through a hole in the aft side of the CB with a knot tied on the end to secure it in the hole. Don't know if I'm being clear on this or knot.;-). Any help would be appreciated.

Does it work?

Jeff - I assume we're talking about a Mariner or a Rhodes. If so, the boats I have seen have a downhaul in addition to the up haul. Does the rig on your boat work? Does the board stay up or down? Does the boat point when the board is down? If so, I wouldn't worry about it much. Justin - O'day Owners' Web

oday cb problems

on my oday 20 I merely put a figure eight knot in the line and it locks into the hole in the cb. You are doing it correctly. The cb on my boat gets sttuck in the up position because of marine growth. I drilled ahole in thecb about 3" from the bottom and inserted a piece of 3/8" ss threade rod secured by washr, lock washers, and hex nuts. No more sticking.
