I don't like to use the word restoration as it is daunting but i recently purchased a 70s O'Day 15 that I have been gradually repairing. So far I have replaced the hiking straps, cleaned it, and i have just begun to grind out the stringers which had separated from the hull because the bilge was full of water, I work in a powerboat factory so i don't need much help with fiberglass and gelcoat repair but I a complete rookie to sailing. The sails that came with this boat have large rips and are dry and worn in general so they will need to be replaced. Where is a good place to buy sails for a small boat like this? Also would a front hatch installation be a good idea so that i can properly install a cleat, rebed the front eye hook and remove the waterlogged foam (and add storage, obviously)?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt
