While under sail I have water coming in through the headliner around the 2 lights in the aft starboard cabin. The water runs down the panel dividing the cabin and the engine compartment and puddles on the cabin sole in front of the battery switches. The deck above was dry as it is covered by the dodger. It wasn't raining while we were sailing, but there was a little bit of spray coming over the bow onto the foredeck. Any insight into where the water is coming from would be appreciated.

I had mystery water on my boat at first but couldn't trace it. Eventually I discovered it was condensation. We had a very cool humid spring. I started using the dehumidifier and the problem went away. I'm not sure that's your problem but it's worth checking.

I can only speculate, but the arch is attached by your dealer, so it is a potential failure point, this would be on the outer wall with bolts hidden by the headliner. Sailing may have nothing to do with it other than heeling which allows the water to travel from one side to another or from a pool in the headliner to dripping. I've seen a dealer model leaking from rain on top of the clothes storage which is where the arch connection is.

I also had a lot of condensation before I ran a dehumidifier but that was all over the headliner especially on the outside wall, with dripping/puddles so it was easy to identify. I would add that I have been fooled by water before as it sometimes travel surprising paths before it emerges.

My boat had a leak trough the arch attachment bolts in the port aft cabin. The source was probably water caught in the arch and after having the dealer re-calk the arch supports without seeing much improvement, we ended up drilling a hole at the bottom of each side of the arch so water could drain onto the deck. That resolved the issue.

Thank you for your posts. I will ask the dealer to look into the arch as a potential cause of the leak.
