I'm in the process of purchasing a Beneteau Oceanis 390. On close inspection i have noticed there has been some fibreglassing on the inside hull liner (frame) just for'd of the main bulkhead under the sole. The repair looks old, but is this something i should worry about? I could take a digital picture and post it on the site if it helps... Also are there any other particulars about this model that i should discuss with the surveyor? I think i am paying a high price for the boat but it has a lot of cruising equipment and a new 30hp volvo diesel. The rigging was also recently replaced and interior refurbished. Thankyou, Nic Hoskin

390

I also have a 390. Before I bought it, the hull liner had been attached to the hull in a few extra spots to keep the two from slapping together in choppy seas. It was a Beneteau fix and has been holding up just fine. I'm not sure what it looked like before the work was done. Otherwise, the boat is great. It sails fine and holds well in fairly high winds (25kts). Light air performance is a little weak, but I'm working on that too. The other systems have been fine. I've done a lot of general maintenance but have not had any trouble with it.

Thanks Dirk!

That sounds like it could be it. I'm going to get a photo of it today and post it here to see if it compares. The only other problem with the boat at the moment is the roller furling mainsail is stuck in the mast (furled luckily!) Cheers, Nic
