Hi. Just purchased the boat and freshwater pump runs and has suction but it appears that the valves for choosing which tank to draw from are closed. I can’t blow back through the pump intake hose or suck any water with a shop vac. Both tanks have water in them. I just can’t find the valves.

On the newer 37 the valves are on a manifold right next to the pump, under the port settee. Be sure only one is open at a time. We also have a check valve between the manifold and the pump that got clogged once. Even when not clogged that would prevent you from blowing backward through the pump intake. I don’t know how the 370 compares though.

Thanks. The 370 seems to be different. The tank under the stb settee fills the whole space and the water supply fitting isn’t even visible or accessible without cutting up the furniture or disassembling it. I can’t find a manifold anywhere and the owners manual I got from Beneteau is pretty vague. I’m going to spend another night poking around.

Having to switch between tanks is a pretty common thing, so the valves shouldn’t be anyplace too buried. We do need to take the cushions off the settee and dig into that storage area, but it shouldn’t take any serious disassembly.
