Oceanis 37 loose stanchion

I've seen several posts regarding loose stanchions, but can't seem to find an answer. Beneteau tech help has been nonexistant thus far. The stanchion on my 2013 37' attaches to a post that is bolted to the deck. The problem is that I can find no way to access the nut without cutting thru the deck or cabin below deck. Seems Beneteau builds boats in sections, inner tub seated into outer tub, then deck attached to both. This bolt is thru the deck, fastened to outer tub, but the inner tub blocks access. Not a great design when things need fixing. Hoping someone knows a trick that will keep me from cutting into the boat.

You can get to the nut on the bolt that goes though the deck by taking out the panel at the back of the cabinet. I had just 2 that were loose and was able to get to them. Good Luck!

We've managed to tighten them on our Oceanis 37 by removing the cupboard backs, and/or some wriggling around behind the panels, and wishing your arms came with a second elbow.

That was awesome insight. Got to the boat yesterday, removed the panel and tightened the nut. Many thanks for your help.
