Just a few observations on the characteristics of epoxy.
1.Epoxy takes longer to cure on the bottom of your shoe than it does in the cup. I learned this by discovering epoxy prints on the deck of my boat, the ladder, and the kitchen floor. Of course it was cured enough on all those surfaces not to come off with acetone, but the shoe sole was still tacky!
2.Epoxy is curious and likes to travel and see new places. This observation was made when I discovered that epoxy could travel around and end up in places that i Never visited.
3. Epoxy is adaptable. It adheres better to surfaces that are not prepped, cleaned, sanded or intended for epoxy, than it does to any intended epoxy destination.
4. Epoxy is passive aggressive. Never confronting me outright, epoxy will show its dispeasure by hardening in inverse proportion to the speed of an approachng storm in order to keep me from being able to cover the boat without fowling the repair with the cover.
5. Epoxy wants to be helpful. it sticks great to your rigging and lines and hardens in a spiky manner to allow it to imbed itself in your palm, thus increasing grip (until the blood oozing get slippery)
