Just purchased 'The Handbook of Sailing' by Bob Bond. Decent book so far, a lot of pictures which is something most others have been lacking.Imagine my suprise when I get to the 'Choosing a Cruising boat' section. The boat that they chose as an ideal trailer sailer just happens to be the one I have, an O'day O22. The pictured example is a fractional rig with a swing keel, I have the masthead with the stub. The caption reads 'The O'day 22 provides basic accommodation for four and has a centerboard which retracts into a short stub keel. It is most suitable for short offshore trips and weekends afloat but, because the accommodation space and facilities are limited, it is not comfortable for more prolonged periods of sailing or living aboard.'Made me feel all warm and fuzzy to see this fine boat as the example chosen to represent the best of trailer sailers. Just thought I'd share!Josh
