I am currently rebuilding a 1976 O-Day-27 and would appreciate any information the reader can forward to me, through ODayOwners.com or directly to me at DaddyD@clis.com. I would particulary like to know the weight of the O-Day-27 MAST. I would like the readers recomendations on how to lift the MAST, for repairs.

Check the ODO site

Steve & Donald - you should find lots of info on the O'Day Owners Site - check thru the Archive Forums for relevant topics. Yes, the deck & cabin top are balsa cored. D & R Marine is one source for ODay stuff: the guy running it was apparently involved building ODays when they were built in Mass. Site address is <www.drmarine.com> Mast weighs 97 lbs± with shrouds & halyards removed but all other hardware attached. I'd ball-park it at c. 75 lbs stripped.
