I bought a O Day 25 in Oktober last year in the Netherlands. It's a 25 from 1978. Does somebody know how a American boat ends up in the Netherlands. It seems that there is only one O day here. Has it been build in Europe under licence? How knows !!
Barend, If you look in the owner's registry and picture archive, you'll see several Dutch O'Day owners as well as Belgian ones. You might ask them how their boats ended up in your kikkerland. I just can't imagine someone being that crazy to sail it there. You will enjoy your boat however, I can attest to that. Robert ("Amazing Grace")
Ik krijg de indruk dat ik dit ook in het Nederlands kan schrijven, maar doe het dan toch maar in het Engels. Thank you for putting me on the right track. I have already sent a e-mail to one of the owners. I also sent a E-mail to the factory in the USA, but they do not know how the O'day's came to the Netherlands. Anyway thanks for the tip. Hi Barend. Ik spreek de taal nog wel, maar heb het grootste deel van m'n leven (al 30 jaar)in Canada gewoond. Vandaar de taalfouten. Ben sinds kort (Oct. 01) ook eigenaar van een O'Day 25, die we in Rochester gekocht hebben. Een opknappertje waar we de hul tegelijk nieuw geverfd hebben. Nu staat ze in zo'n meter sneeuw op het voorjaar te wachten. Wij hebben de boot gekocht vanwege de ruimte binnen en geringe diepgang, zodat we overal terecht kunnen. Wij zeilen op het Couchaching and Huron meer en wonen in Mississauga Ontario. Laat per omgaande weten wat voor speelgoed er bij de aankoop bij was en hoe je vorderingen maakt. Greoten.
