O-day 240: Strength ratings of the stays and turnbuckles?

Does anyone have information on the original stays and turnbuckles for the O-day 240?

I am looking for dimensions and strength ratings, particularly for the turnbuckles. I may just replace the turnbuckles (original 1988) for now (the original wire looks good, no bends, no broken wires, no split or corroded bodies), but I am having trouble picking out which size/catalog #, rating I would order for the turnbuckles.

Does anyone know a full-proof way to size the old turnbuckles? and then match to new, open body, chrome/bronze turnbuckles?

Call Rudy at D&R Marine. He'll have all the specs you need and will sell you the rigging hardware at a good price. Once, when I was replacing my back stay he said, "Hey, make sure to measure that tail below the triangle. Some of them were 16 inches and some were 18 inches for the year your boat was made."

If he hadn't known that little detail, I would have wasted time and money.
