Can anyone recommend a sealent for sealing the installation of an O/B bracket? I have an inboard that will not start so I'm hanging a kicker. This may not be permanent so can I still use 4200 or 5200? any help appreciated.

Not 4200 or 5200

Those two are going to be near impossible to remove. Are you looking for a sealant for waterproofing or a bonding agent?

OK

Silicone will do the job just fine as a sealant. the other 2 you mentioned are very strong bonding agents and would work, but are permanent.

Sealant

It doesn't take much to seal these up. Just drill your bolt holes nice and snug. I used silicone on mine, as some day it may need to come off. A ring of silicone on the outside and a ring of silicone on the inside under a washer. Tighten firmly. The bolts are a pretty good way up from the water line, and would probably not leak with out anything on them at all.
