Second (or fifth?) what's been said re: float
Hi folks, I agree with all that's been said here, especially the part about some sort of mast floatation being recommended for H170 owners. We recently traded up to a Compac 19, but I turtled our 170 once in a squall blast and me and two dudes who happened to be powerboating nearby and jumped in to help couldn't budge my 170 back over. We all three dug our toes into the inverted rubrail and pulled on the c/b, but the 170 didn't even acknowledge our existence (and the other two dudes were gravitationally-challenged, to say it nicely--- so you'd think we'd have budged her). Took a big four-stroke 'jetski' on the topping lift to do the job. Foaming/sealing the mast, or Hobie float are highly recommended.Winter winds,Mike G."Freebird", CP19
