SeaTR,
I'm looking at the third picture and it appears to me that the port forward bunk support is leaning over toward the center more than the starboard side. That may well be an optical illusion, but I'm curious.
Your new axle looks like one of the >5000 Lb jobs. That's a great improvement over what you had even before it broke..
Yes 203, you have that correct...no optical illusion. That's how I bought her...seemingly bent on purpose as that's schedule 40 pipe, but I could be wrong.

If you have an original Magic Tilt, what's your configuration?

I see you have an '83 H22 on Lake Norman...anywhere near McGuire Power Station?

The higher ride will make launching a little tougher! I see they oversprung this axle to replace the undersprung one. Good luck
Yes Brian, the additional height has its advantages and disadvantages... easier to get into and out of my driveway and maneuver around town with the various dips in the road without grinding down the aft bunk supports ... AND, I'll have to ensure that I'm closer to high tide than low tide in New London when launching and retrieving. :-} :-{

thanks for your observations...

I don't have a trailer yet, so I am very interested in everybody's configurations. I am going to get a basic trailer frame locally and modify it for the H22. So I have been worrying all kinds of folks here getting together measurements.

I'd love to get a good picture of your trailer tongue extension, as one of the trailers I am looking at is very beefy, and would be great but it's only 20 ft long and I think that may be too short since I can't move the wheel location.. galvanized trailer with welded in shackle locatons. I'd have to cut up the trailer to make it work I think, or move the boat so far up on it that a tongue extension would be required.

I am sort of up the road from McGuire, at Lake Norman Yacht Club. Sometimes we use the plumes from the two stations on LKN for wind indicators when the wind's light (c:

Plenty cold (16'F), no white stuff here in So. New England (boo, hiss, boo...), but the grandkids will still find a way to have fun out of doors.
Nevertheless,

To all: Enjoy the Holidays !!

Charlie

(Now, I need some help, "all" I understand.... is there a difference between "Y'all" and "You all" ?? .............And how 'bout "All Y'all" ?? )

As a "reconstituted" Texan misplaced to Maryland, I can confirm that there is no difference between y'all, you all and all y'all. Happy Holidays all y'all!
