Dale, if there was a topic, I lost it. This might be the 'ramble-on' thread till it makes some sense or is killed from above.

Sometimes it takes more than just a complete sentence. A complete thought would have helped. But then this thread wouldn't have been nearly as interesting.
Really good question Julie - in his book Go Now, Go Further, IIRC - Ken Kesey mentioned that he was not in favor of keeping a weapon on board. IMHO you need to ask yourself are you really prepared to use multimeter if the going gets rough? Hope this helps.
