Nova Kool Fridge / Freezer

We have a 2006 Hunter 45 CC. We bought it new in early 2006, and it came with a NOVA / KOOL, Fridge / Freezer. Both the Fridge and Freezer have worked flawlessly up until last week. While the freezer side is still working fine, the Fridge side has started to defrost even though it continues to run. I contacted NOVA KOOL, on line and explained my problem to them. They contacted me and offered to walk me through the process to to check what the problem is. They asked me to "pull" the unit out so as to have assess to the top of the unit so as to inspect a possible leak in the refrigerant, and or a cooling fan problem.
My question is, does anyone know how to pull the unit out (see attached photo) so as to have assess to these. They told me that all of these units are located on the top of the unit.
Any and all input will be greatly appreciated.

Check with the Nova/Kool Installation. It may indicate where they instructed putting screws to secure the frame to the boat. These may be along the edge of the frame to the side wall or the floor.

I have had to remove mine several times. There may be a trim piece on both sides. Other then that it is a very tight fit and you just have to wiggle it out and lift slightly to get bottom over small lip. This will mar the floor so use some protective cover. Do not have to remove all the way as compressor and controller are in front left side and easily accessible. Be glad you do not have to remove or service the drop down freezer, it is very difficult and requires 2 people.

Forgot to mention this is a closed system with no tap to check pressure, you will need to tee into low pressure line with a fitting that can connect to the gauges and can fill the system if low on freon. They make a fitting that punctures the tubing without having to drain the system and solder. Tap stays in place so you can check again if need be. If you have to add freon and suspect a leak, leave gauges attached for several days before pushing frig back in hole. I bought a cheap gauge set at Harbor Freight

I had to remove my fridge & freezer several times. My boat is a 2005 Hunter 38 with Nova Kool. Easiest is to remove the door. You have then good access to the black aluminium border around the fridge. There are 4 black plastic plugs in this border, 2 on each side. Remove these with a small screwdriver. Behind you will find a large screw holding the fridge to the woodply of the furniture. After that you will be able to pull the fridge out.

If you are this far, improve air flow at the back of the fridge by cutting big holes in the bottom part that does not support the fridge. You will be amazed by the fridge improvement just by having this cool bilge air now flowing upwards to cool the evaporater.
It is possible that this improves your fridge enough to solve the problem.

I have nova cool much smaller one door in my 2007 H-36 and recently it stopped working and found
Penguin ref on YouTube and are great help with led light that gives you what is wrong and it said the black
monitor box was bad after the other things they told me to try and got new black box and working like new again.
I did also cut out the back panel for more better ventilation after seeing one and small hole and should help
here in Florida and it always did run fine but with heat here in Fl more venting. Should help.
