Don: thanks again for the note regarding the heat tempering of the piano-wire springs I made up for my cabin door handle assemblies. The ones I heated to wind over the mandrel broke pretty quickly. The ones I made by cold-winding didn't look as pretty but had the necessary strength and durability. It has had a couple of weeks of serious work and continues to latch just fine. Rick D.PS: my ST 50 wind transducer fix is also holding up just fine.
