I would not..

I would not know Rich if I stepped on his toe nor you. Maine is a big state, just like WA, so should I assume you are friends with every poster from WA state. You and Rich are just as anonymous as anyone on this board to me and your broad based generalizations and stereo types are... well... rude!Please clarify for me how I became a punk and how I am deserving of your slanderous insults when I NEVER insulted you and only gave an outsiders, third party view of the thread in question? I never participated in that thread but did happen to read it and was personally horrified by your perception that Rich attacked you. If he were from CA, FL, TX or MA I'd still read it the SAME way and I'd still stand up for him.

Actually you invited us, as in everyone on this forum, in to it, with a separate and stand alone post notifying everyone on this forum about your little squabble.Having read the thread in question I felt it necessary to clarify what I read as a third party. If you only want to hear what you want to hear talk to yourself not the entire forum...Again, I tried to help you very early on but now you've gone made a real mess of your reputation and credibility here that won't soon be forgotten by many..If you really must know the sentence bellow is the one that really irked me and it is in fact totally FALSE! Rich never ever said ANYTHING derogatory against Flicka's or Dana's other that they are cramped and too small for his liking. I have no idea where you spun the bellow perception from based on the post in question??"You seem to think my oppinion regarding SMALL Boats that have a true off shore record and are viewed by most ALL blue water sailing experts as sea wothy are false....."

I stand at 28' to be minimally COMFORTABLE (you can stand up down below.)"Rich's comment was in direct response to your disagreement on size and was a tongue in cheek approach at saying basically this; Many boats are seaworthy, including a life raft, but that he (Rich) would not make a trip, that long, in something he felt that cramped in and he feels as cramped in a 20 or 22 footer as you might in a life raft. The point where he says "would you make that trip" is to point out how a 20 or 22 footer feels to him and as a reference point he used a life raft that would feel small to anyone. He used life raft analogy contextually and illustratively. The entire comment was based around PHYSICAL SPACE NOT the seaworthy capabilities of a Flica or as a direct insult to you. Perhaps it's all the literary classes I took I college but I don't know how one would read into it the way you have. It's there in black and white..Serenity your breaking down the structure of the comment and taking parts of it out of context and as a separate statement and assuming he meant harm to you. I can assure you he did not and I can also assure you that he most likely will never apologize after your display here tonight nor should he..

I have to ask, and please don't take this the wrong way because I mean this with all seriousness, but have you ever been tested or looked into your reading comprehension level? As I CLEARLY pointed out bellow Rich did NOT single you out he was responding directly to post #22 where you disagreed with him about minimum boat size and said;"I agree with most everything except (the minimum size boat to sail offshore long distance is a 28 footer)."That is NOT being singled out it is called being responded to. After all this is a forum and that's what people do..
