My 1994 Adler-Barbour Super Cold Machine no longer cools much and the unit runs constantly if left on. The coils are clean. It is a model DCM-12, s/n 24320. We are in central Minnesota and would like to have it serviced. Is the refridgerant R-12???Thank You,Joe Baker

Initially,it Sounds like a refrigerant loss...Check the state of the refrigerant charge.however, you may want to ensure that the compressor is coming on...(The fan is not the compressor).

Joe,Most of the DCM12's made at that time were R12 systems. There were some Suva MP39 systems made for one particular customer. If yours is a MP39 unit there should be a pink sticker on the compressor stating so. If it is a R12 unit, it say's so on the serial number sticker. Follow David's avdice and be sure the compressor is running, not just the fan. The problem could be electrical
