I was perusing a local paper in Ft Walton Beach, Fl and came upon this tidbit. A website that is devoted to fighting back against scammers.

"So what is scambaiting? Well, put simply, you enter into a dialogue with scammers, simply to waste their time and resources. Whilst you are doing this, you will be helping to keep the scammers away from real potential victims and screwing around with the minds of deserving thieves"

Just played a couple of "Microsoft support" scammers for half an hour to this end.

I just had a scam where I won 1.5 Million dollars from publishers clearing house. They were 35 minutes away from delivering it to my house but the IRS had them on hold unless they could verify I was home to accept delivery. So the scam seems to be to find out if you are home then rob your house? The number came through as a Jamaica location. I played them for a while acting all happy and telling them what I was going to buy with my 1.5 million then told them I was calling the FBI.

I would have said "I would not be home until after dinner, could they meet me then?"... then loaded the shotgun and waited.
