North Sails has what they call NorthU where they have CD (I guess you can watch) as well as book in their North U series. As I am trying to learn more about sail trim would the Quick TRIM Guide and the Racing Trim CDROM be worthwhile investments?

One way I was thinking about using these would be to get my crew together and watch them.

Thoughts?

We use them and have gone to see the live show :)

The Books and Cds are good the day long class was a bit to much info in one day without going out on the water and doing some hands on

We do a few things like it as a crew every year and i find even somebody like Dave Perry(great speaker) doing a racing rules talk is just to much info at one time

Haven't seen the CD version but I have the their 'Smart Course' on sail trim in printed version that I bought when I was racing my 21' daysailer in the 90's. I thought it was good value.

It was many years ago that I saw the live seminar or "Smart Course" from North and it was very good and if you are a racer, it is very worth while for you and your crew. I haven't seen the CD, but I am sure it has the same sort of information and one thing about a CD is that you can refer back to it at your convenience. When I saw it they had a book instead of a CD. I think I still have it. Anyway, I suspect that however you take the course, it will be worthwhile if you want to learn to race faster and more efficiently.
