Does anyone know what's going on with the Northstar 4.4" square Depth, Wind and Speed instruments. I know they used to be Navman and are now Northstar but they are not currently showing the 310 series on their web site? Have they been discontinued..?? No one seems to have them in stock either. Lots of places show them but no one has them? Any insight would be appreciated..

If you find out - let me know

I have been watching for them to show up again as well. I am looking for a Wind instrument and a Multi with speed and depth. A couple months ago, the Navman 3100 stuff disappeared, and a few sites started showing the Northstar equivalent (looked like Navman 3100 just rebranded), but then a few weeks later, the Northstar 310 stuff disappeared as well, and I have not been able to find it since. I know Navman was owned by Brunswick - is Northstar under the same umbrella?

The definitive answer from Northstar

is that they discontinued the line because if the Navman instruments were not installed correctly, moisture could get in from the backside, and fog the display. Northstar did not want their name associated with cloudy displays, so they discontinued the product. Originally, there were plans to redesign and re-release by year end, but now the company has been purchased by the company that owns B&G, so now future plans are unclear. This is disappointing, because I thought the Navman line offered a great value for the money, and I thought the displays looked good too. There really isn't a comparable product at that price point.
