Northern Bay "Chesapeake Bay C310 Owners"

Our Catalina 310 raftup was a success. We had four C310s make the trip. Everyone had a good time with plenty to eat and drink. And, who didn't enjoy showing off or seeing the innovative improvements and additions we all made to our C310's to make sailing more pleasurable. ​

Catalina C310's making the raft-up were: WitzEnd - Tom; Coral Islander - Bud & Steve; Chess Mate - Ed & Judy; Paula 2nd Diamond - Paula, Bob Jeanne & Al

It was agreed we would do this again next year. Attached you will find a few pictures of the raftup. We hope to have an even bigger turn out.....so get the word out.

interesting. I might be able to make it. I will have to check the schedule and get back to you. Since this is the first season with our '01 310, it would be nice to chat and inspect other 310's to get some tips.

As time nears watch for an email outlining the raft-up approach procedure and what you will need to have ready, fenders, dock and spring lines, etc. Don't worry if you have not rafted up before it is easy and we will be standing by to help you. Ahoy Catalina C310 Owners:

Wow! July 14 is fast approaching and I'm way behind getting this email out.
The Catalina 310 raftup is on plus it looks like we will have cooler weather.

We have a great turn out for our first C310 raft up....6 C310 owners say they will try to attend.

ARRIVAL: Ed & I plan to be at Fairlee Creek around 11:00 AM on Saturday and secure a prime location.
We will monitor VHF channel 72. As you arrive hail Paula’s 2nd Diamond to announce you have arrived and request further raft-up instructions.

We will ask you to prepare for either a Port or Starboard tie up and to which boat. Please have ready your fenders and dock lines, bow, stern and spring.
When you are ready to approach let us know via channel 72. We will assist each boat tie up.

The plan is to end up with the two outermost (end) boats of the raftup set bow anchors and have the center boat set a stern anchor to prevent swing with wind or tide change.
If the overnight wind forecast dictates we breakup to anchor individually.


FOOD: Raft ups seem more fun if everyone brings a favorite hors d'oeuvres to share at cocktail hour (starts whenever). Please bring your own beverages and meals. Breakfast could be shared potluck if you choose.


PRIZES: For best C310 modifications and improvements. Be ready to show off your handy work.

We are looking forward to meeting all of you. Please let any C310 friends know about the raft-up. We always have room for more.

TELL US YOUR ETA & BOAT NAME: Please let us know your boat name and estimated time of arrival. We would like to only monitor VHF Channel 72 until all have arrived.
