Northern Cal coast harbor & cove info needed?

I would like to take a trip upwind from Bodega Bay to Ft. Bragg and I am acutely aware of limited overnight anchorage up that way. I am sure short under power runs are the order of the day. I have researched theis coast using online charts but not like being there. Any help would be appreciated.
