North Shore Long Island Sound

Planning a one week cruise in Long Island sound in July. Coming up through NYC to head out to Port Jeff and back. What channels do the harbormasters monitor along the north shore? Where are public docks, showers? I used to sail in Smiththown by when a teenager have not been back in those waters since. Thanks for any help on the sound!

Great Cruise

I do it every summer -- Port Jeff a great stop -- Huntington (Coneys Marine Ch 9) great town/restaurants/night life. Oyster Bay (Oyster Bay Marine I think Ch 72, but not sure) Better stuff is out east -- if you're coming from NYC, consider blasting out the south shore to Shinecock and then to Block, Greenport, Shelter Island (Coecles Harbor), Sag Harbor, Old Saybrook (Conn)
