Hello Everyone, I too have been researching what type refrigeration to use for my old ice box. The Norcolder unit looks "good" and not as expensive as others. However, there is no info available such as what type compressor it uses and length of coolant tubes supplied. Does any one know if these units have a Danforth compressor, BD30 or BD50? I also am looking at cooling a 5-6 ft3 cooler. Has anyone else installed in a box that "big"? And finally, without a freezer box type condenser, has anyone been able to still make ice? If so, how did you arrange the ice tray with respect to the condensor? I do plan to add at least 2" insulation to the inside of my box and possibly 4 on the bottom. Thanks all. Paul
