I've got a dual voltage Norcold ice box conversion setup and it seems to be malfunctioning. It is just running nonstop, even with the temp control turned down, it even runs if its switched off at the controls. I can only kill it at the breaker. I know my box is good because it froze a gallon of milk last night! I'm pretty sure this exact model has been discontinued. The connections seem ok, has anyone had this problem? What was the fix?

Bad Thermostate

Patrick, I have one of those on my O'28 and it's a great little unit. Since the thermostate is also the off/on switch, and yours won't turn off, I would start with checking that first. I haven't had any problems with mine so I don't know if you'll have to remove the unit to use an ohmmeter to check for continuity/disconnect, or if there is a connector where you can place the probes without removal. As long as the box is cold, which yours is, then the thermostate is the only other component that could be bad. PM
