I am hoping to re-do the non skid areas on my deck and am looking for opinions. I have done a fair amount of research and have come up with several options as far as product goes. I will refrain from naming them here to hopefully not influence your answers. What do most of you use, and why? I would like to hear about ease of application, durability, and "non skid" efficiency. I am trying to make the boat as safe as possible. I am now 74 years old, and still single hand the boat.

Thanx for you help.

Without a doubt, Kiwi Grip is the best overall choice. Long lasting, reasonable price and easy application.

Testing it on a scape piece of board is a good idea. Following the instructions is even better.

Before you go any further, what model and year of boat and where are you making repairs.

There is a thing called reverse non skid that can be used as a mold during the repair issue.

Thanx Dave... It is a Hunter 22. I am not repairing anything. I simply want to re-coat the non-skid areas on the deck both for safety and to brighten the boat up a bit.

KiwiGrip, from Jamestown Distributors--water cleanup, durable, and you can control the 'nap', the texture of the nonskid by how you roll it out--it's great stuff...

if the non skid paint does not have non skid particles in it, you can also buy them separately and add to the paint. The big issue when doing this is all in the preparation. so follow the instructions or it will in some cases peel off which I saw
