I was looking to repair some spider cracks in the non-skid lazarette covers on our 1984 Hunter 31 with a Gibco flex mold, but does anyone know the pattern number Hunter used? Gibco has lots of options and I'm lost.

The forum store could answer your question as they may have the build list on your boat. Ask them to ask Al. Look at the records forwarded to hunter several years ago

Although my Hunter is somewhat newer than yours, the only pattern number that a search resulted with is 102 GFD. Sure looks like the pattern on my boat.
Gibco Flex-Mold 102 GFD

Thanks all for the help! The 102 GFD pattern is the one Gibco and the Forum Store think it is. I'll also order that sample pack @sail sfbay mentioned and post what I find in case it helps anyone out.

This is quite an interesting project, I am at a bit of a loss visualizing how you do this though. :)

I “think” I know how the pattern in the mold would happen - place the liquid gel coat in the mold, with mold release applied where the pattern is required but do you then place the existing lazarette cover in to act as the substrate?

Here's the basic protocol I was planning to follow.

It was called reverse nonskid when repairing. If putting over existing nonskid
repairing damaged areas, you must make sure it is aligned correctly
