I am in the process of re-commissioning a 1997 16' Day Sailer, that has not
been sailed for about 18 mo. according to the owner who is now out of the
US.
Got the boat off the trailer and tried to get the centerboard down.
There is a metal handle about 8 inches long on the stbd side of the center
board enclosure. I cannot move it either forward or sternward. Is there
a locking mechanism? I do not see any control lines. Which way should I
apply pressure to lower the board? Dare I add a extension pipe on the
handle?
Any suggestions are very welcome.
