Had a pretty decent sail today and over the first weekend of the month.... Posted my ramblings in my blog and posted the requisite pics and a few vids. Nothing all that spectacular, just a small lake sailor enjoying a few days.

Very nice cb. Just looking at your lake on Google. Seems you are on the south western section. Can you get into that larger northeastern section. That is one convoluted lake!

Thanks Ed. Yep, pretty much the southern shore of Gideon Bay, you can sail around Big Island but it gets a bit narrow in spots. So if you are looking at a map of the lake, I sail "up" from Gideon Bay and to the north side of Big Island. do some east-west runs and what not, then sail back down to the marina in the bay. Next season I am hoping to have my own boat and I would be on a mooring in Excelsior Bay. The bridges are too low to get to the other southern lake. Which oddly enough is known as Upper Lake Minnetonka and the northern part, where I sail, is known as Lower Lake Minnetonka. Go figure eh?

I love your sailing blog! I am a Minnesota gal too and have sailed a few times on Lake Minnetonka but have mostly sailed on White Bear Lake when I still had small boats but I still crew with other folks in the Black Bear Yacht Cllub.

I know and have had the kind of days you talk about. Thanks for writing it all down!

Princess - Thanks for reading and enjoying my blog. Like I have said to some others, I would do it even if no one read it. Anyway, have you pulled your boat yet? The boat club season ends Saturday so I am going out one more time, Pearson 26'. Didn't get a chance to get up to the Apostles this year either, hoping at least a couple times next year though.
