Any thoughts welcome.
when trying to turn on my engine this weekend there was no power from ignition to starter but all other circuits were on.
When checking the starter I noticed a wire that had come loose and I decided to disconnect the +ve from the starter forgetting to turn off the main. It dropped onto the starter and sparks were flying. Now there is no power at all. I checked all fuses and they’re all ok. Does anyone have any suggestions what else to check?

It’s usually pretty easy to find the fault by simply measuring where the voltage gets lost by taking voltage reading with a VOM meter Beginning at the battery bank. If you haven’t found the fuse in the starter wiring, I’d look there before bothering to do anything else.

I assume just the DC side are dark?

Do you have any sort of fuse at the battery? I blew a 100 amp fuse at the battery when starting the boat for the first time after I installed the fuse….

I ended up going to a 300 amp fuse for that application.

But I would start at the battery.

Beneteau generally installs switches on the ground as well as B+. Be sure to check the grounds.

@ Syclone Driver: do you mean a fuse for the grounds?
No. Check to make sure the grounds are not the source of the voltage drop. I've had issues with the ground switch on my old boat and the connections on the back of the switch on my new boat.

Also check the ground cable to the engine block; corrosion there can cause the problem. (Initial starting problem)

Check the red wire that sparked , a lot of OEM's use fusable links ,especially in high amps , it looks like part of the wire with shrink on it. My boat has a fuse at the start panel ,yours may be under panel. You can see fuse in pic under tach

Thanks, all for your great suggestions!
I’ll have to wait till Thursday to try again, but I’ll definitely report back.
