I have searched the archives, there is a posting on 3-20-08 on the topic of uplift muffler through Catalina.I did not see this posting on the daily topics, and don't understand why it only came up in the archives. Getting back to the important issue,I'm unscessful in ordering an uplift muffler through Catalina. I have called Chris at catalina, he said to send in the measurements of the existing uplift muffler, with the measurements of the sea cocks location which I emailed with a sketch 2 times. Still no response, I called Catalina again and got their fax # and Faxed all the info on 3-24-08 with a sketch, tell# and email # still have not heard anything.would I be better off going to a different supplyer?

Sure Bob, buy one here.....

What are your required spec's? They come in round base or square base, top in top out, side in top out etc.... inlet/outlet hose size? These are Centek VernaLift.

You can either keep trying or

you can investigate alternate mufflers, like the Vetus, which I've seen on a number of Catalinas as replacements. The trick is finding one that'll fit and have the same inlet and outlet exhaust connections. In some cases the Vetus do not have drain cocks, which you'd need to drain the muffler if you can't get your engine started in less than 30 seconds of cranking. As I understand it, Catalina is in the process of moving much of its production from CA to FL, which may be why they are somewhat behind in responding to you.
