I have a question on my 1984 C-30 I cann't my hot water to work. I have open up the mixing vaule and all that did was make the engine run hot. but still did not get any hot water. any ideas?
You probably have air in your cooling system. You should have a bleed valve in the port cockpit locker in the coolant recovery line. Also, check to be sure you have coolant in your coolant expansion tank. Good luck!
Doug's correct. Fill the expansion tank, then start the engine. When the temp starts to raise above normal, open the bleed valve on the top of the thermostat housing and increase the RPM to 2000. You may need to do this 2 or 3 times to get all the air out of the system. Make sure the expansion tank always has coolant in it.
