No DC power

We were attempting to replace the autopilot control module (ST 4000 Autohelm) on our 1994 Hunter 29.5 and were fortunate to get a used module on line. The old module was removed from the pilot station last year and the new one we attempted to hook up this boating season. The wiring was color coordinated and the install went rather well except that now I find there is no 12 volt DC power on any of the lines going to this module. We found one wire that was disconnected and managed to splice it together but still no DC. Don't know if there is an in line fuse that is blown but did trace the wiring back to the battery compartment and it all looked fine. Has anyone out there had a similar experience with this? Right now I'm stumped as to the lack of DC power in my pilot station. We did do a direct line DC hook-up for a GPS using a cigarette lighter type plug in device which is still getting power and functioning well. Any advice as to this problem will be greatly appreciated.

You will need to follow the wires back to where the 12 volts is
coming from and check for 12 volt as yo go along or if not run a new 12 volt
line.
Some place it went bad and only thing with every boat is a different way
the wiring is done so follow it to the source of 12 volts.
