NMEA Cable Install on Hunter 30-2

Hello, new to the forum and looking to run a NMEA cable from the electrical control panel to the helm on an '89 Hunter 30-2. Wondering if anyone here has experience with this install? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum Kurt. The H30-2 is a nice boat. Hunter often ran cables in conduits (wire chases) about the boat. I would suspect you can find access at the helm and follow the wires back to the control panel. NMEA cable comes in bulk form and has field attachable connectors.

A fiberglass rod wire fish should work neatly to move the cable through the conduit.

Thank you, jssailem. I've located the conduit that runs from the control panel to the helm. Field attachable connectors will simplify things. Much appreciated.
