The telltale on my 3.5 hp outboard was dripping very slowly, so I cleaned the intake and it is now a fast drip. I don't remember if it should be a solid stream or a drip. Any advice appreciated.

Telltale?

Are you speaking of the cooling water output If so, my 5hp has a steady stream of water. Sometines a salt crystal will develop there after it dries. What I have done in the past is to ream it out with a piece of wire or toothpick.
