The Nina and Pinta are in Houma La. until the first week of Dec. Anyone who has not visited these two ships is certainly encouraged to do so. But this is not the primary reason for this post. Crew on them is volunteer. In the past the required time for volunteer crew was 90 days. It has not been reduced to 30 days. They are going to be in Gulf Shores/Orange Beach, Ala. in early Feb. If they are going to cross the gulf after that, I will be a volunteer crew. I have wanted to do this for a long time, but schedule/desitnation etc. have not allowed it. I have no desire to join them when they are motoring in the rivers or ICW. But if the opportunity presents itself in Feb. for me to join up and actually sail for some distance, then count me in. Everyone please wish me luck that scheduling and destination will work, and I can do this. I promise pics and journey report will be made here.

Saw them when I was on a delivery over to Pensacola a year ago

Wonder just how many of them there actually are? ANOTHER Pinta and Santa Maria are on the hard in Corpus Christi Texas, and a Nina is tied to a dock there. Had friends who crewed on her at one time
