I was looking at some books on diesel engines. I did a search and found 2 books by Nigel with the same title, sort of. They also have different covers. Does anyone know the differences between the two? Or are they just the same book? They do have 2 different ISBN #. Here are the two: 1. Marine Diesel Engines: maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, 1991. ISBN: 0070096120, 2nd edition, approx $25. hardcover, ? pages. 2. Marine Diesel Engines, 2003. ISBN 0713667567, 2nd edition, approx $35. paperback, 224 pages. Thanks.

If you go to Amazon.com, you can enter the ISBN#s and get the scoop. Both are 2nd edition, but the hardcover was published by International Marine in 1991 and the paperback was published by Gardner Books in 2003. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe they are the same book (both have 224 pages too), just in different covers. Most boaters don't like to keep a hardcover aboard; they weigh more.
