Nicro Vent (Day/Night Solar) Question

With all the lousy cloudy and rainy weather we've had in the northeast US this year, I've noticed that my solar powered Nicro vent has finally quit spinning. This is the first time I've ever seen it stop since I bought it. It normally seems to run eternally. I'm curious to know if it's just because of insufficient solar energy to power it, or if something else is possibly wrong.Has anyone else in the New England area noticed this problem with their units?

Dead Battery

Ed: These things have a nicad battery that they run off of at night and it is charged during the day while the sun is out. There may be some corrosion on the connections or the battery is just plain dead. It's concealed under the cowling and is held in place with a clear plastic cap which is held in place by two screws. There is a bunch of fancy writing and names on it but the bottom line is that it's a c cell nicad battery that you can find just about at any Radio Shack type stores. I replaced mine a couple of years ago and it's still working fine.Cheap fix!

the sun *finally* came out today after days of dismal weather, and she's spinning fine again. I guess that answers that question!thanks
