Going to be in Niceville soon for a week.Hope to do some sailing. Can anyone recommend restaurants,bars,things to do,etc.

If you are in Niceville Florida, you must go to McGuire's great food, great beer (make their own) I suggest the red, or if you want something that will sneek up on you, get an irish wake... and yes the food is great as well..... Fudpuckers can be a fun bar and restaurant as well..... The actual bars are on okaloosa island, howl at the moon, etc it is on the 2 islands that you will want to go to to be on the white sands and beautiful clear water, providing the weather is nice out in the gulf.... Enjoy I know I miss that area
Every year I go hunting in Hosford Florida Liberty county. In the middel of this very small town is a sign for Niceville Florida. I think it's a little over 100 mi. I always wondered what was there and now I know. Thanks guys.

Choctawhatchee bay is a great place to sail , I actually bought my boat in Niceville and then moved it to Mobile. After Mobile we moved to Panama city and now we are up on the Tennessee river. The only down side to the bay is the inlet to the gulf is tricky.
