I brought my boat back to Lake Pontchartrain from Pensacola this weekend. As you know, the Hwy 90 bridge at the Rigolets is closed, so I tried Chef Pass route. success! Linked pic shows my route. Actual depths were never lower than 7.3' Tide was within an hour or so of low Moon was near new Wind was North at about 20, which probably helped As an added bonus, both bridge operators were VERY helpful, pleasant, and prompt. I had my engine impeller fail just as I was entering the ICW - Rigolets New Orleans Cut, so I got to change that just prior Chef Pass whiles sailing down the cut. I would definitely use this route again instead of the Inner Harbor Nav Canal at Lakefront airport. Fair winds...

Thanks Guy

Thanks for the info. Guy. I am going to head east in a week or ten days, for a week or so, just out loafing around and enjoying. Will give this route a shot, as not only is it a long way around to go to New Orleans, the bridge operators over there are a bunch of a holes.
