I hit the jackpot recently. Some friends called me mid January from California and asked if I want to help move a j130. Boat was in Puerto Vallarta and had to come up to Puerto Los Cabos and then to Cabo San Lucas, and then to San Diego and eventually Oceanside CA.
I told them that I didn't think I could. Got off the phone and the admiral asked me what that phone call was about and so I told her. She asked if I was going and I told her no, and she wanted to know why not. I told her that was a good question and called them back. 24 hours later, I was sipping on a Margarita in 90 degree sunny Mexico.
Got back the end of Feb. to find out about all the snow on the east coast. Nice way to pass away part of the winter.
