OK, so this story doesn't really have a lot to do with sailing, unless you sail upstream from Niagara Falls. Anyway, it is an interesting story and it is March and well, spring and launch dates can't come quick enough.

If you are passing through western NY or southern Ontario, visit the falls they are impressive.

Great story.
So the barge is still there. What will they do when the barge begins to disintegrate? Do you think out will be declared a national landmark and raise money to restore it?

I think that the barge may have been the inspiration for the dramatic closing scene in the film Niagar with Marilyn Monroe and Joseph Cotton.
