I have a 2007 -36 Hunter and wondering what other owners do to take of it. What do you use or do not use on it to keep it looking good. Nick

I think Joan just uses

Pledge or similar product sprayed on a cloth and wipes it down. Maybe twice a year. Jim S/V Java

I would suggest a citrus oil.

I would suggest citrus oil (lemon, orange etc). These oil make excellent cleaners and also help inhibit the growth of mold and mildew. They smell good too. I do not know much about pledge but in the old days it was not a preferred product for furniture. I think it had something to do with silicone in the polish.

What Steve said...

lemon oil is absolutely one of the best things to use and won't darken the wood like too much use of teak oil will. Great smell and as he said, stops mold in it's tracks.

Thank's Everyone

I love this forum for all the info I get here,I did read about the silicone in pledge so its lemon oil I guess. Good reminder about too much teak oil.
