Hey all sailors !!! I'm envious. I am as bad as I hate to admit it a newbie to sailing. It has always been my dream to own and sail my own boat. Well now I have that chance after oh about 40 some odd years of dreaming. Hey don'ttell anyone I'm only 29 (maybe at heart).
Anyway I am going to have lots of questions probally in the near future. I have been lurking in the shadows unitl now due to not owning a sailboat, but that has changed so I registered. only one proble right now I have no idea what my boat is so if any of you couls identify this vessel I would be so ever gratful......unitl next post happy sailing Doc

Oh yeah I forgot to tell you about the boat it is 21 0r 22 feet long according on how you should measure it. It is a sloop with main sail and jib. It has a rasiable keel or centerboad

Kind of looks like a San Juan 21-2.
Quite a good sailing boat if it is. These boats were actively raced at one time. There are two versions of the same boat, the SJ21 and the SJ21-2

http://sailboatdata.com/viewrecord.asp?class_id=47
If it is the SJ 21-2 a lot of info including 'manuals', tips, hints, etc. etc. can be found @ http://sj21class.org

Welcome to the addiction of sailing. ;-)

Doesn't it say on the title/registration papers? It has registration numbers on the bow. They usually don't just put "sailboat one each" on the documents.

Think RichH has it right. Might be missing your pullpit. Look on the stern, ... (back end)..., there could be some numbers and letters in the upper right hand corner that could shed some light... or someplace right under the rub rail.

San Juan did not make a 22. It is definitely a 21-2. I used to have a first gen 21. It was fun to sail. Pretty rare here in Maine as most of them ended up in the PNW, Carolinas or Midwest. They had production facilities in the PNW and Carolinas.
