Thanks to everyone for their input. I'm thinking about using composite decking for my keel guide. Has anyone used it in the past and are their pros\cons to using it not using it ?
I was wondering about using it for bunks, since it will not rot, but I worried it was not strong enough to do the job, because it can warp under load in hot weather.
For keel guides it seems like the ideal material. hopefully someone has used it and can provide insight
We owned hull #10380 and loved it, raised our kids sailing it. I would make sure you always leave the keel resting on the trailer to take the wright off the cable. She is a fast, fun, safe boat with a huge association that is very active and informative.
before you get crazy with all the work if the cable, volcano, turning ball etc are OK, GO SAILING!
